I actively disliked Dr. Fell. The book goes off onto weird tangents about witches and Satanism, the characters and situations were unbelievable, and the solution was absolutely ridiculous and unconvincing. His writing and characters were just so-so, but his strength was building puzzles that even Dame Agatha said she could never solve beforehand.
